Sazerac Cocktail

1 cube of sugar
1-1/2 ounces Bourbon
1 Dash Herbsaint or Pernod
2 dashes Peychaud bitters
2 dashes Angostura bitters
1 Lemon peel twist
Crushed Ice

Chill an Old Fashioned glass by filling with crushed ice. When the glass is chilled, discard the ice and pour in the Herbsaint or Pernod , swirling them to completely coat the glass. Discard the excess if you wish.

Place the sugar cube in the bottom of the glass and pour the bitters over it. Using the back of a spoon, crush the sugar cube. Fill the glass two-thirds full of ice, add the Bourbon and sugar mixture and  lemon twist. Swirl (don't stir) to chill and serve.
